Simulator Built In
Practice It on the Ground,
Then Fly It for Real
Every program pairs our Cessna 172s with our FAA-approved SG-2 simulator, so you arrive at each flight already knowing the procedure and your airplane hour goes to flying.

Frequently Asked Questions
What airplane will I train in?
You'll fly our fleet of Cessna 172s. Each one has G5 instruments and a Garmin GPS, and you can practice on G5 displays in our simulator before your first flight.
How much does it cost to fly the Cessna 172?
The aircraft is $185 per hour and flight instruction is $70 per hour. Your total depends on how many hours your program takes, and we'll walk you through a realistic plan before you start.
What happens if the weather is bad on my lesson day?
We don't cancel lessons. When the weather or an airplane says no, your lesson moves to the simulator or ground instruction, so your training keeps moving instead of waiting for the next clear day.
How does the simulator fit in with airplane lessons?
You practice procedures in the simulator first and fly them in the Cessna once they feel familiar. Depending on the rating and the device, some simulator time can also count toward FAA requirements. Our simulator page shows how it works.
I'm already a pilot. Can I rent a Cessna 172?
Yes. Licensed pilots can rent our Cessna 172s for their own flying after a checkout flight with one of our instructors. Contact us and we'll set up your checkout and first booking.
How do I book my first lesson?
Book a discovery session to meet an instructor, see the airplane and the simulator, and talk through your goals. You can also enroll directly in the Private Pilot, Instrument Rating or Commercial Pilot program.
